Sacrificial
Bite down on soft cheek flesh
and watch the blood pool
from translucent tissue
Tooth is metaphor is madness
of the ruthless world
and you cannot extract me
If blood is needed as vehicle
to drive the tenor in,
then what have I become
To bolster this wholly savage
and untenable act
in my own tender mouth
