Sunayna Pal

In control

Two fingers are what I show
him when he softly tells me
That it is six in the morning
and we should start the day.
Two more minutes won’t let me
sleep for as much as I really want
but it makes me feel in control.
Illusionatory and false control
that I can start my day
when I choose to, even if
it is just 300 seconds later,
As two will become five.
